Patients covered by private insurance companies

Eurohealthcare Services Ltd has arrangements with the following insurance companies:

CYPRIALIFE και ALPHA INSURANCE

And any other insurance companies after patient’s or insurance’s special request

We will guide the patient in the selection of the most appropriate doctor and hospital specializing in their disorder if you have not chosen one already.

We will forward the translated patient’s medical history to the selected specialist doctor.

If the patient requires admission to hospital, we carry out the required procedures: we inform the insurance company and the patient of the estimated cost and duration of treatment in order to receive the initial approval for treatment by the insurance company that will detail the amount that the patient is insured for according to his policy. If the insurance company will only cover part of the treatment costs, the insured will need to deposit to our company his participation based to the approximate cost before the admission (our company will issue a receipt) in order that we are able to send our letter of guarantee to the hospital and the treating doctor.

After the end of the treatment we issue two original separate invoices (one for the insurance’s and one for patient’s liability if any) so that each party is informed on the actual participation based on the final hospital and doctors’ invoices.

In the case that the patient deposited a larger amount than its participation, we will refund the difference. In the opposite case, Eurohealthcare will ask the patient to make a further deposit to cover the difference.

If the insurance company denies to give pre- approval for treatment asking for more details that will be available after the treatment then the patient will be required by the hospital to personally pay the whole amount of the treatment.

When the medical reports and the paid invoices have been received, he will submit them to his insurance company where they will decide if this case is not preexistent and it is covered by his policy in order to repay the costs of treatment.

It is absolutely necessary prior to an admission overseas, that the insured who have policies with the insurance companies listed above, contact us the soonest possible even if they are already abroad and give us time to achieve pre-approval.

It is important to be aware that we are able to make arrangements with other insurance companies that are not in our current list to avoid the need to pay for the cost of the treatment in advance and claim back afterwards.

So whoever your private insurance company is it can be in your best interest to contact us before arranging treatment.
